2024 Pre-Season Events

MoCom | Pre-Season Events 2024

The 2024 Season is right around the berm! We have received the ‘ok’ for our pre-season events from the league and we want to share those with you. They are also on our Google Calendar which is the best place to get the latest info on MoCom Events.

We encourage you to try to come to all of the events if you are new to MoCom or even a returning rider/coach. These are great events to get to know your fellow riders and meet the ever-growing MTB community in Modesto.

Parent/Student Info Night

Our First event will be a parent/student information night where we hope to answer any of your questions about the organization, joining, racing and anything else related to the team.

  • Date/Time: Wednesday, October 11th from 7:00pm – 8:30pm
  • Location: Fun Sport Bikes, 1533 Oakdale Rd, Modesto, CA 95355
  • Provided: Snacks & Refreshments
  • Bring: If you’d like your bike checked out by Fun Sport’s awesome mechanics, bring it on by!
  • Cost: $0.00

RecFest Community Outreach & Ride

For our second event we will have an information tent at Modesto’s RecFest. Here we will be providing information, stickers, refreshments, as well as guided rides throughout the TRT. Coaches, this is a great time to come out, support the team and participate in a ride. Bring the whole family!

  • Date/Time: Saturday, October 21st from 9am – 2pm
  • Location: Tuolumne River Regional Park, 100 10th Street, Modesto, CA 95354
  • Bring: Your bike (if you’re riding), riding gear (helmet required) and if you are new to the team, this waiver (completed).
  • Cost: $0.00

Fun & Family Ride

Our third pre-season event will be a ‘Fun & Family Ride’ that encourages everyone who loves to ride a mountain bike to join us for a short (roughly 10 miles) ride around the East La Loma Park. We will be meeting at the East La Loma Park at 9:30am and conclude around 11:30am. During the ride we will stop and talk about how we practice, what student athletes will learn about basic/advanced mountain biking and answer questions about the team.

  • Location: East La Loma Park, 2001 Edgebrook Dr, Modesto, CA 95354
  • Bring: Your bike, riding gear (helmet required), water and if you are new to the team, this waiver.
  • Cost: $0.00

Team Workshop & Fit Party

This mandatory team workshop & fit party are focused on those riders who are confident they will be joining the team as well as returning riders. We will have small groups of students shift between different ‘stations’ where they will learn about nutrition related to riding mountain bikes, simple repairs needed on the trail, season information for parents/students as well as a ‘fit station’ designed to ensure that your kit that you purchase will meet your expectations.

We encourage ALL of our student athletes and parents to participate and learn more about the coaching staff, our season and team expectations.

Note: As we order our clothing for the season, these are non-returnable/refundable, so it is important that the student is happy with the fit of their ride/race kits.

  • Provided: Everything you need to complete the workshops along with refreshments.

Bike Check & Ride

Our final pre-season event will be a bike check and ride at East La Loma Park. Bring your bike and our coaches will help you to fully check out your bike to ensure you are ready for the season’s practice starting in December.

Coaches will provide tools and remind our students of the equipment they will need to carry with them throughout the season.

  • Bring: Your bike, riding gear (helmet required), water and if you are new to the team and have not yet finished the sign-up process, this waiver (completed).
